Paint Correction Prices?

What does paint correction cost and how do I know if it is a service that I would be willing to get? Let me make it easy for you... The average pricing for any type of paint correction is in the ball park of $75 - $100 per hour, so the more correction you are looking for, the higher the price!

Why is Paint Correction so expensive?

There are a few reasons why paint correction is an expensive service, similarly to the ceramic coating prices page, lets dive in to some reasons why….

Reason 1: The Paint Must Be Cleaned…

When we say the paint must be cleaned, it is not just washing the vehicle…. We’re talking about the decontamination process. Once the vehicle is washed in a safe and detailed manner, we MUST decontaminate the paint using chemical and mechanical decontamination methods.

What is the point to using two forms of decontamination? Well… There are some cases where a clay bar OR a chemical is the only thing necessary because the paint is not very contaminated due to the age of the vehicle, or because the paint has been decontaminated before and only needs it every so often.

Okay, so why would you decontaminate the vehicle if paint correction will take the particles out anyway? We get this question a lot more often than you think! The NUMBER 1 reason why we decontaminate before any sort of correction is because…. The polishing pads that we use will become clogged over time and if we do not decontaminate the vehicle before, those particles will be picked up by the polisher and will SWIRL and SCRATCH the paint even more than before!

Reason 2: The Skill, Technique, Training, and Time

We had to go through an intensive training (90 Days Strait) to learn all of the ins and outs of Paint Correction. How different types of paint react to different polishes and speeds, how the paint on different car brands are harder and softer than others, as well as they thicker and thinner than others. Being able to determine how much time and correction is needed to achieve the look that YOU desire takes a very trained eye because there are some instances where the correction you want can actually be DANGEROUS to your clear coat because it is so thin.

Why would I get paint correction if I do not want a ceramic coating? The biggest reason is because they don’t want to spend the money on a ceramic coating and choose to keep it waxed or protected with a paint sealant that we offer! Some customers also just want a nice quick gloss enhancing service on top of their ceramic coating has been applied already and needs a refresh. YES, YOU CAN ENHANCE A PREVIOUSLY APPLIED CERAMIC COATING!!! Lets say you bought a Lifetime coating (8-10 years) and its been about 3-4 years since it has been applied. You still have the attributes of the coating when it was first applied, but it doesn’t look like it did the week after it was applied. We can do a very, very light gloss enhancement to revive the coating. Because ceramic coatings are harder than the actual clear coat on your vehicle. You will see no difference in the hydrophobic properties and abilities in the coating.
