Ceramic Coating Covington Louisiana What do they cost?

How much should you spend on a ceramic coating, and how much do they really cost? I like simple answers just as much as you probably do, so here are our average prices for ceramic coatings! (Without Paint Correction)

2-3 yr Coating $400 - $500

5-6 yr Coating $600 - $750

10 yr “Lifetime” Coating $850 - $1000

It is important to remember…. These are AVERAGE ceramic coating prices, and like I mentioned earlier, I love to work with my customers 1 on 1 to find what works for them… and their budget!

Now let’s answer the question that everyone seems to wonder: Why are ceramic coatings so expensive?

Well, there are 3 reasons?

  1. The first thing is that the application process takes TIME. The average time spent on a ceramic coating application takes about 10 hours… I know, right?

  2. Ceramic coatings are the hardest, most durable, and advanced forms of paint protection that exist! We are talking about years of protection… not months!

  3. Lastly, in order to install a ceramic coating and do paint correction, it takes some serious training. In fact, we spent about 90 Days straight going through the most reputable online paint correction and ceramic coating training there is! Not to mention all of the practice that proceeds…. So at the end of the day, we are also charging for our expertise. (I’m not too shabby if I do say so myself ;)

What Exactly Is A Ceramic Coating?

Now, because I am a detailer, I like to get into the nitty gritty about every little thing with ceramic coatings. But I am not going to bore you! A ceramic coating is like a thick winter jacket you put on before going out in freezing temperatures. It is an ultra durable, extremely hard layer of silicon dioxide (glass) that cures to the paint, glass, and many other services. Not only do ceramic coatings give a rich, deep, glossy appearance that is absolutely unmatched. But nano ceramic coatings were designed to last anywhere from 3 to 8+ years depending on the coating that you choose.

There are 2 main jobs of ceramic coating.

  1. Long term paint protection

  2. Beautiful gloss and shine…. For real, we mean beautiful!

How Does A Ceramic Coating Work?

Once the ceramic coating has been applied, it acts as if your vehicle has an ultra hydrophobic, extremely durable, and scratch resistant skin. Ceramics are designed to protect your vehicle from anything in the outside world: Bird droppings, Bugs, pollen, acid rain, and a lot more. While regular detailing services only protect and maintain your vehicle temporarily, ceramic coatings basically form a shield that protects your second largest investment until the day you trade it in. Which means more money in your pocket!

Washing your vehicle sometimes feels like a breeze right? Just driving it through a tunnel and it's clean… So after we spend $40,000 dollars on a vehicle, we watch it slowly degrade and depreciate in value because it is generating more swirls and hazing from driving it through “a simple drive through wash”. We think it it pretty crazy to spend thousands driving a vehicle around unprotected only to trade it in for a fraction of what you bought it for.

After the paint has been completely cleaned, decontaminated, and paint correction has created a smooth surface. Then a thin layer of liquid ceramic coating can be applied, left to cure, and carefully buffed off leaving a thin layer of ceramic protection that needs 24 hours to fully cure. It is as simple as that!
